Major changes in primary education system in Bangladesh are going to come.
Bangladesh 1st, 2nd, 3rd primary examinations are going to be closed
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered all kinds of tests to be conducted in the first, second and third classes from the next academic year.
It is known in the report published on March 20 in the "daily Jugantor" newspaper.
It is further reported that these three-class students may be considered as the basis for evaluation of school attendance, and diary reports from schools.
This step is being taken as a result of the pressure of examination that can not prevent the normal development of the child. Said the sources concerned.
Pre-primary can be extended from one year to two years.
These steps are being taken to reduce the private schools in the country to make primary school more than 4 years old. Primary and Mass Education Secretary Sir Akram Al Hussein said that the government has given all the examinations to the third grade students from the first class of the primary school, and the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called on all concerned including guardians and teachers not to give extra pressure to the child to attend the program on the 13th of March in the primary education week-2009.
He said, in the case of primary education, I would say, "No one should be given any extra stress to the child, so that they will get a different strength inside."
Such steps will be taken to strengthen the child's basic foundation.
